Ice Hockey

Kennett Hockey has always been about giving back. We have run many special events over the last 18 years to give back to the community; including toy drives, food drives, pet toy drives, teddy bear tosses and more. However, we found our nitch when we began to host Kennett Hockey Fights Cancer games back in 2018.
Over the first 6 years of the game (no game in 2021 due to Covid) we have raised well over $60,000 for individuals in the Valley battling cancer and local organizations such as Jen's Friends. Unfortunately, we all have family or friends who have had to battle this disease. We believe our efforts to give back to our community are extremely important.
With that, this year we will be playing for the Camden Bailey Foundation. We want to thank the foundation and the Bailey family for allowing us to play for the foundation this season. Our first ever game in 2018 was played for Camden so you can say we have in some ways come full circle.
Please connect with a member of the Kennett Boys Hockey team or myself for more information or to support the boys
Thank you in advance for your help in making this year's Kennett Hockey Fights Cancer Game the biggest yet!

7th Annual Kennett Hockey Fights Cancer Game
To Benefit The Camden Bailey Cancer Foundation
Saturday, January 17th
- Each Kennett Hockey athlete is currently accepting pledges to play in the game, each dollar earned will go directly to Camden's Foundation.
- A special foundation-themed jersey will be revealed by the athletes and worn for the first time during the game, athletes who raise $300 each will be able to keep their Hockey Fights Cancer jersey at the end of the season.
- We have had ties donated to the team that match our the day's theme (Carolina Blue) to be worn to and from the game. We also have ribbons in that same Carolina blue that were donated. These ribbons will be worn on jackets to and from the rink.
- The Ham Arena will be decorated in Carolina Blue (balloons & pom poms). An alumni of the program has purchased and donated blue tape for the game and Celly Hockey Co. (owned and operated by Kennett alumni) has donated special Kennett Hockey Fights Cancer hats that will be sold the day of the game with 100% of funds going to the foundation.
- In addition, on January 18th during the JV game, we will be wearing these jerseys, as well, to ensure all players get to play in their jerseys.
- Chuck-a-Puck will also take place between the 2nd & 3rd periods and we will be raffling off ONE Hockey Fights Cancer Game Jersey at the end of the game.
- There is no gate fee on January 17th, however we will accept donations at the door. The first 80 in attendance will be gifted a Carolina blue pom pom to use throughout the game.
- Finally, the Cancer game will also double as our Skate with the Eagles so there will be lots of future Eagles in the building that night as well. Fans young and old are welcome to join the boys on the ice for a skate after the game.
- Over the weekend, the boys kicked off their efforts with a six hour session in front of Walmart. In two-hour shifts, the boys met and interacted with our generous community, collecting over $2,300 for Camden's Foundation, solidifying our hopes to make this our biggest Hockey Fights Cancer game to date.
